VIDEO: Entered Under a Truck, Obstructed Vehicle Movement

On December 16, a citizen reported to the Malatya division of the Community Police that his son, a second-category disabled person engaged in trade on Babajanyan Street, had been beaten by police officers, and his belongings and goods were damaged.

The police announced that an investigation was launched immediately by the Internal Security and Anti-Corruption Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs following the call. Several circumstances were clarified as a result. It was found that during a surprise check on December 16, officers from the Malatya division of the police and representatives from the administrative staff of the Malatya-Sebastia community discovered that the individual was engaged in illegal trade.

This person obstructed the actions of the aforementioned officials, prompting the invitation of police officers to ensure public order. He did not comply with the legal requests of the police officers, entered beneath a truck, and obstructed the vehicle's movement. Therefore, he was administratively arrested and taken to the Malatya division of the Community Police.

Footage was also examined by the officers of the Internal Security and Anti-Corruption Department. As a result of the investigations, no evidence of violence by the police officers was found.
