Temperatures Expected to Drop to -23 Degrees

On December 14, 17, and 19, the weather across the Republic is expected to be without precipitation during the daytime, while nights on December 15-16 and the 18th will also be dry. Late in the evening on December 16, and during the nights of December 17 and 19, some regions may see precipitation, particularly in mountainous areas in the form of snow.

The wind will blow from the west at a speed of 2-5 m/s. However, on December 14, and from December 16-19, wind gusts may reach 18-23 m/s in some areas. This information was provided by the Hydrometeorological and Monitoring Center.

The air temperature during the day on the 14th will decrease by 4-7 degrees, with a further gradual drop of 5-7 degrees during the nights of December 15-17. In Aragatsotn, Shirak, Kotayk, Gegharkunik, and Vayots Dzor, nighttime temperatures are expected to reach -20 to -23 degrees.

In Yerevan, the weather on December 14 during the day, and on the 15-16th, and 18-19th, will be dry. Light precipitation is possible in the night of December 17, possibly as snow in the elevated areas of the city. There will also be intensified winds on December 14 and 19 with speeds of 15-18 m/s.
