On one side are the people, on the other side is one party: Zurabishvili
Today, the President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, delivered a speech at the European Parliament. She spoke about the "political crisis prevailing in the country" and the ongoing protests.
"This is a very peaceful movement and at the same time a widespread act of civil disobedience," she said, referring to the situation in the country.
Zurabishvili also discussed the political line of the government. "The ruling party has taken a Russian path. On one side are the people, and on the other side is one party. The people want a European future and new, fair elections," she stated.
