Russian Armed Forces Take Control of Yelizavetovka Settlement

The Russian Ministry of Defense reports that the Russian armed forces have taken control of the Yelizavetovka settlement in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).

According to the ministry's summary, "As a result of decisive actions by the units of the Southern Military District, the settlement of Yelizavetovka in the Donetsk People's Republic has been liberated."

It is worth noting that early in the morning on February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to launch a special military operation against Ukraine, following requests for assistance from the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) and the DPR.
