Roskombnadzor has blocked the Viber app in Russia. This was reported by NTV.

"Access to the Viber application has been restricted due to violations of the requirements of Russian legislation by organizations responsible for the dissemination of information," the statement said.

It was noted that compliance with the country's legal requirements is necessary to prevent the use of the messenger for terrorist and extremist purposes.
