Pashinyan: Always Remains in the Focus of Armenia's Attention
The activities of the EAEU have provided an additional impulse for the development of economic cooperation among member countries. This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during the EAEU Intergovernmental Council meeting in Moscow.
“In the context of contemporary realities, the activities of the EAEU have given an additional impetus to the development of economic cooperation among member states, ensuring various scale investments in the dynamics of the economic growth of our nations,” Pashinyan declared.
He noted that the freedom of movement of goods, services, capital, and labor within the territories of EAEU member states is a fundamental principle. A key criterion for assessing the effectiveness of cooperation remains the identification and elimination of barriers in mutual trade, which is enshrined in the priority directions of the Armenian presidency.
“In this context, we positively evaluate the efforts of the commission (Eurasian Economic Commission) in analyzing dynamics and identifying key trends in the emergence and removal of barriers,” stated Pashinyan.
He assured that continuous work always remains in the focus of Armenia's attention, and its ultimate goal is to create new opportunities for the development of business within the union's countries.
Pashinyan also highlighted the importance of effectively implementing a roadmap for creating favorable conditions for the development of e-commerce.
The Prime Minister added that the launch of a financial support mechanism for cooperative projects has become a key element for the realization of the EAEU's goals and objectives.
“This is a significant step towards enhancing the competitiveness of our countries' industries, and with a proper approach, it can facilitate the creation of high-tech productions and the expansion of industrial cooperation. We support raising awareness about the possibilities of this mechanism with the aim of involving Armenian enterprises in promising cooperative projects. Our country's industrial potential, including jewelry and pharmaceuticals, as well as agro-processing, has significant prospects for development within the framework of cooperation with partner countries,” Pashinyan said.
According to the Prime Minister, to effectively implement the financial support mechanism, Armenia supports the proposal to expand the list of international financial organizations and optimize the deadlines for reviewing applications, which will open up additional opportunities and expedite the implementation process of joint initiatives.
