Biden Discusses Intentions Regarding Ukraine

The outgoing U.S. President Joe Biden's administration is set to supply Ukraine with hundreds of thousands of shells and thousands of missiles in an effort to hasten the transition of power to Donald Trump. This was reported by CNN.

According to a senior official in Biden's administration, efforts are being made to deliver weapons to Kyiv within five weeks as part of the previously announced aid package. "From now until mid-January, we will supply Ukraine with hundreds of thousands of artillery shells, thousands of missiles, hundreds of armored vehicles, and other essential equipment," the official stated.

Jake Sullivan, the U.S. President's National Security Advisor, who is overseeing this matter, had previously instructed Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin in mid-November to expedite the delivery of armored vehicles, missiles, and artillery designated for Ukraine. Earlier reports indicated that Washington is providing Kyiv with a military aid package worth $500 million.
