Medvedev: The Possibility of New Regions Emerging Within Russia

Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation and leader of the "United Russia" party, Dmitry Medvedev, stated during the plenary session of the XXII Congress of "United Russia" that the emergence of new regions within Russia is considered possible.

"By the way, the experience of integrating Donbass and Novorossiya may be in demand in the future as new, but very close regions could emerge within our country. Is it not possible?" he said, referring to the party’s national program for the 'Development of New Regions'.

Medvedev also emphasized the need for decisive actions against Russia's enemies and the importance of maintaining societal unity. "We must preserve the heroism of our grandparents and great-grandparents and continue their work by destroying the enemy without giving them the slightest chance of revenge," he declared.

The leader of "United Russia" focused on the threats posed by attempts to divide Russian society.
