The Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Hikmet Hajiyev, stated that Azerbaijan and Armenia do not require third-party participation in peaceful negotiations. 'Baku and Yerevan are conducting peaceful negotiations, and there is no need for a third party's involvement. On the contrary, interference from a third party harms the resolution of relations in the region,' Hajiyev said.

He also noted that there are certain issues between the two countries that remain open but are being discussed. Hajiyev emphasized that there is no longer a factor of war between the two countries. 'Azerbaijan has fully ensured its territorial integrity and sovereignty. Armenian forces have been withdrawn from Azerbaijani territory.'
