Opposition MPs Refuse Invitation: Assistant to the Speaker of Parliament

Opposition MPs continue their trend of spreading false information to justify their political “whims.” This was stated by Mvatses Harutyunyan, assistant to the Speaker of the National Assembly Alen Simonian, on his Facebook page.

“This time, Arthur Khachatryan from the ARF has claimed that Alen Simonian supposedly does not include opposition MPs in his official foreign trips and added, ‘They go abroad to present a distorted version of Armenia’s realities.’ This statement was made regarding the official visit of the Speaker of the National Assembly to India, set for December 15-20,” Harutyunyan wrote.

“I want to emphasize that, as always, an invitation was sent on behalf of the Speaker of the National Assembly to several opposition MPs, who, however, refused to go to India without a specific justification. In particular, invitations were sent to MPs Lilit Galstyan, Garnik Danielyan, Leon Kocharian, and Anna Mkrtchyan, all of whom declined without serious grounds,” Harutyunyan stated.
