It Was His Personal Decision: Peskov on Assad

The resignation of Bashar al-Assad from the presidency of Syria was his personal decision. This statement was made by Dmitry Peskov, the official spokesperson of the Kremlin, as reported by TASS.

Peskov also noted that Moscow continues its dialogue with all countries in the Middle East, with which it shares numerous interests.

Previously, it was reported that the Kremlin spokesperson had announced that the decision to grant asylum to Assad and his family was made by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
