I Also Know Mher Sedrakyan's Son: Pambukhchyan's Clarification
Dear residents of Yerevan, dear compatriots, media representatives, for a considerable time now, several media outlets have initiated a false, distorted campaign about me, and I won't shy away from that characterization - a commissioned campaign. This was stated by Yerevan’s Deputy Mayor Armen Pambukhchyan on his Facebook page.
“What I’m saying also pertains to today’s article published in the ‘Zhoghkourd’ newspaper, according to which I received valuable gifts from the sons of former National Assembly MPs Hakob Hakobyan and Mher Sedrakyan. First, I want to say that Hakob Hakobyan’s son, Khachatur, is one of my close friends, with whom I also have family ties, from whom I have never received any property as a gift. As for Mher Sedrakyan’s son, Davit, I also know him as a fellow resident of the same neighborhood with whom I currently have friendly relations, and I have never received any gift from him, whether directly or indirectly.
Thus, discussions about gifts, both previously and currently, are simply absurd. There is also an attempt to present everything in the context of corruption, which I naturally deny and additionally add that it is at least slander. At the same time, I inform you that for these serialized, false and vile commissioned articles, you will bear responsibility,” he added.
It should be noted that earlier the ‘Zhoghkourd’ newspaper wrote that Yerevan’s deputy mayor Armen Pambukhchyan is facing serious problems within his team, and his issue was raised at one of the meetings of the ruling Civil Contract party.
