Trump's Revelation on Zelensky's Request

Donald Trump stated in an interview with the New York Post that Vladimir Zelensky desires a ceasefire and the establishment of peace. “Zelensky wants to conclude peace, he wants a ceasefire. We haven’t discussed the details, but he believes it’s about time,” Trump declared.

Earlier, Trump had mentioned that Vladimir Zelensky and Ukraine “would like to conclude an agreement” and called for an immediate halt to hostilities and negotiations. Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary for the President of Russia, noted that Russia had reviewed Trump's statement. He emphasized that the terms for peaceful negotiations were previously articulated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, but Ukraine continues to refuse dialogue.

It is worth noting that Trump had met with Zelensky in Paris.
