Syrian Prime Minister on Assad's Whereabouts

Syrian Prime Minister Mohammad al-Jalil stated in an interview with Al Arabiya on Sunday that he has no information about the location of President Bashar al-Assad, and that his last contact with the president was on Saturday evening.

This statement came after armed terrorists claimed that Assad's government had been toppled. The Prime Minister mentioned that during his last phone conversation with Assad, he asked what was happening. “Al-Assad told me, 'We will see tomorrow,'” Jalil recounted, further emphasizing that he does not know the president's whereabouts.

On the morning of December 8, Reuters, citing its sources, reported that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad had boarded an aircraft and taken off from Damascus towards an unknown destination.
