Jordan Closes Border Crossing with Syria

The Jordanian authorities have decided to close the border crossing with Syria. This measure is due to the security situation in the southern region of the Arab Republic. This was reported by the Petra agency, citing the kingdom's Ministry of Interior.

According to them, Jordanian citizens and Jordanian trucks will be allowed to return to the country, while traffic towards Syria will be halted.

Earlier, Sham FM radio station reported that clashes occurred in the Dara'a province, particularly members of armed groups attacked a Syrian army checkpoint.
