VIDEO: Hovik Aghazaryan Reflects on Events Surrounding Him

Julya

In a press briefing yesterday, independent MP Hovik Aghazaryan stated, "I mentioned that there is a drama surrounding human correspondences; I don't know whether this can be legally justified or not. However, there is an institution for journalistic investigation. I personally agree that two male journalists can come and review my writings, alongside the leadership of the ruling party or Mr. Aren Simonyan."

Aghazaryan continued, "Let them assess my correspondence to see how shocking they are. I am not saying they should look at the correspondence where I faced pressure to step out of the team after the war, to oppose the Prime Minister, and what responses I provided. Those do not need to be reviewed."

Responding to a journalist's question about who was responsible for the pressure, he angrily answered, "Well, what does it matter now, a black dog?"

He added, "The writings where I have faced numerous pressures and other kinds of proposals, and the responses I gave, those parts are probably not on the Prime Minister's or the party's table. I am not ashamed and I would even agree to a female journalist coming, but she should have strong nerves to understand what is what, where Aghazaryan Hovik realized that he was facing an agent, and that his mother was in tears. Was there?"

Aghazaryan also commented on Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statement regarding classified national security information found on his phone: "I have never been in such a place, and I have never reviewed such a document containing information related to state secrets."
