The Answer is Obvious to Us: Lavrov
The reincarnation of the Cold War in the world threatens to enter a hotter phase. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during his speech at the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe.
“The U.S. and its allies have thrown everything (arms control agreements) into the trash, as well as treaties on missile defense and intermediate-range missiles. The question is, for what purpose? The answer is obvious to us – in pursuit of a desire to return NATO to the political frontline. After the disgrace of Afghanistan, a new unifying enemy was needed, resulting in the reincarnation of the Cold War, but now with much greater risks of it entering a hot phase,” said the Russian Foreign Minister.
“Barbed-wire borders, anti-tank trenches, foreign troops on their territory, and a preference for American forces waiting in line for the right to enter; this is the ideal of security for those who have declared their states on the front lines in the fight against the Russian threat,” Lavrov added.
