How the Leaks by Aghazaryan were Uncovered: Details
The reason for the removal of Hovik Aghazaryan from the party was the confiscated phone. This was reported by informed sources to ArmLur. The leader of the Civil Contract faction, Hayk Konjoryan, stated in a conversation with reporters today that Hovik Aghazaryan had organized leaks on topics related to state security that should not have been made public.
According to media reports, the Civil Contract party had been aware of Aghazaryan's actions for a long time and had serious suspicions that he was regularly collaborating with several media outlets and organizing information leaks; however, there had been no corresponding evidence to uncover this. It has been learned that under the indirect instruction of Nikol Pashinyan, the Armenian Prosecutor's Office confiscated Aghazaryan's phone, after which all leaked information came to light.
“At the same time, today during a closed session of the Civil Contract faction in the National Assembly, the news regarding Aghazaryan’s leaks about state security topics was called into question. Moreover, within the faction, there is talk that this is an excuse for the Prosecutor General to come to the National Assembly and strip Aghazaryan of his mandate. Following the exposure, there were direct pressures directed towards Aghazaryan, as a result of which the Prime Minister asked Aghazaryan to resign his mandate, which was repeatedly rejected,” the media reports.
It is worth noting that Hovik Aghazaryan has been removed from the Civil Contract party.
