Zelensky's Sharp Decision

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has dismissed General Oleksandr Syrskyi from the position of Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The corresponding decision was made today.

Major General Mykhailo Drahun has been appointed as the new commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Oleh Apostol has been appointed as the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces. Apostol previously held the position of commander of the 95th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade of Ukraine.

In turn, Drahun had earlier organized the defense of the Ukrainian army in the Kharkiv direction.
