The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, has stated that Western partners are trying to maximally supply weapons to Kyiv before the inauguration of newly elected US President Donald Trump. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

According to Zakharova, Western countries have focused on Russia's 'strategic defeat' with regard to Ukraine. 'The outgoing President Biden's administration and the Europeans, well, it's hard to call them hawks, they are some half-dead chickens, are pinning their hopes on further escalation by trying to arm the Kyiv regime as much as possible before the new US president takes office, thereby guaranteeing the continuation of military operations in 2025,' Zakharova said during a press briefing.
