Video: Bus Drivers in Yerevan Begin Strike
This morning in Yerevan, bus drivers have initiated a strike. Residents of our city, who remain at bus stops, are reporting a significant lack of public transport, with only a few routes operating under heavy load. Trolleybuses and small route taxis are still in service, but large buses are absent, according to citizens who contacted us.
Online taxis have taken advantage of this situation, with fares reaching 4,000 drams from Erebuni to Khanchyan and 2,500 drams from Norq to Komitas.
Initial reports indicate that the strike is due to dissatisfaction with working conditions and unchanged wage policies. The city hall has not yet responded to inquiries regarding the situation.
We hope to clarify the reasons for the bus drivers' strike and their grievances in the upcoming hours from Yerevan Bus Company and the city hall.
