Nikol Pashinyan is Heavily Guilty, But He Was Not Alone: Nazaryan
During a conversation with reporters at the National Assembly, independent MP Gegham Nazaryan stated that he could have kept his forgiveness for Pashinyan to himself, but he chose to express it publicly. He emphasized that forgiveness is a Christian concept, and when he says he has forgiven Nikol Pashinyan, it does not mean he agrees with him or that he should not be held accountable for the decisions that led to tragedies and disasters.
When asked whether he blames Nikol Pashinyan for everything, he responded, 'Not just him.' Regarding who else he considers responsible besides Pashinyan, he replied, 'I will talk about that later, I have an answer to that question, but today it is pointless to discuss it, as it would hurt the parents. I will share my thoughts on this when I feel that it will provide even a gram of benefit to this country. If I say it now, it will be subjected to false manipulations and misinterpretations, and since I am alone in this, I will speak at that moment when I feel it is right for our nation and state.'
He mentioned that it is easy to say that Pashinyan is the only guilty one and move on. 'Our literature and historiography have led us to believe that we lost this battle because there was one traitor. They have brought us to the point where one person can determine the fate of a nation, but what were the others doing? Of course, Nikol Pashinyan is heavily guilty, but that does not mean he was alone, or that he alone brought this about. If we take this fact and continue, we will bring about a new disaster,' the MP emphasized.
He also noted that he has not met with Pashinyan in any format since the war, except during the question and answer session in the National Assembly.
