A Armenian Killed in Aleppo

An Armenian has been killed by a sniper's bullet in Aleppo, reports the local "Gandzasar" newspaper.

Yervand Arslanyan (born in 1958) was wounded by a sniper's fire on the road to Selemiyeh after leaving Aleppo yesterday and was taken to the hospital in Hama. He passed away today at noon.

It is noteworthy that yesterday the Syrian army announced a "temporary withdrawal of troops" from Aleppo in order to "prepare a counter-offensive against the terrorists." The military structure indicated that the withdrawal is part of a regrouping effort before the replenishment period to commence the counter-offensive.

The armed forces added that dozens of soldiers have been killed or wounded during heavy fighting with militants in Aleppo and Idlib.
