The Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church, Kirill, has stated that nuclear weapons should not instill fear, as Christians do not fear the end of the world.
It is noteworthy that on November 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree establishing updated principles of Russia's state policy in the field of nuclear deterrence. The document includes provisions that allow Russia to apply nuclear deterrence even in the case of attacks against Moscow's allies.
