Meat, Dairy, and Other Animal Products May Be Imported from Argentina to Armenia, Says FSRA

The Food Safety Inspection Body has issued a statement indicating the potential for importing meat, dairy, and other animal products from Argentina to Armenia.

FSRA Director Armen Danielyan met with Nicolás Pasaman, the Consul and Head of the Commercial Section of the Embassy of Argentina in Armenia. The meeting, initiated by the Argentine side, was primarily for familiarization purposes.

They discussed opportunities for cooperation regarding the import of meat, dairy products, and other animal origin goods from Argentina to Armenia, as well as the export of certain goods from Armenia to Argentina, considering the significant Armenian community present in Argentina.

The FSRA head presented the import requirements, regulations, restrictions, and procedures for the registration of organizations from third countries, as they pertain to Armenia as a member of the EAEU.

They agreed to exchange legal acts regulating the aforementioned processes. The consul expressed hope that cooperation between the two countries in the field of food safety would become more active in the near future.
