Video: There Will Be No More Paper Employment Contracts
Starting from July 1, 2025, all employment agreements will be examined and signed digitally on a voluntary basis, eliminating paper employment contracts altogether. This announcement was made today by Deputy Minister Ruben Sargsyan during a meeting of the Standing Committee on Labor and Social Issues.
According to Sargsyan, from July 1, 2026, it will become mandatory for everyone to sign employment contracts in the digital realm.
By January 1, 2027, all contracts that were signed on paper and are in effect must be digitized.
“One of the primary issues was that a second copy of the contract was not provided, or the content contradicted the existing legislation,” noted Sargsyan. The advantages include, first and foremost, an awareness mechanism, where all participants will be informed about the content of their contract.
