Poland's President on the EU Visa Liberalization Process

Following Poland's assumption of the presidency in the European Union Council, the country intends to fulfill all its commitments, including efforts to advance the EU visa liberalization process for Armenian citizens. This was announced by Polish President Andrzej Duda during a joint press conference with the President of the Republic of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan.

In addressing Armenia-EU relations and in response to questions about Warsaw's potential to support the dialogue on EU visa liberalization for Armenian citizens, Andrzej Duda stated that Poland will take over the presidency of the European Union Council in 2025 and that Warsaw’s primary goal will be to undertake all actions directed at this process.

“When we talk about visa liberalization, it is also directly related to the decisions made by the EU institutions, and here too, Poland will have the opportunity to make decisions,” said Andrzej Duda.

The President of Poland added that Warsaw will make efforts to execute and implement everything that it commits to.

It is noteworthy that Armenia's Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan and the European Commission's Vice President, Commissioner for Promoting the European Way of Life Margaritis Schinas, announced on September 19 the official launch of negotiations regarding the visa liberalization process with the European Union.
