Aghazaryan to Respond to Pashinyan

In a few hours, specifically at 18:00, MP Hovik Aghazaryan will respond to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's proposal to resign from his mandate. In his recent interview, Pashinyan stated that after the well-known hearings in parliament and the incident with Arghisti Kyaramyan, he had addressed a 'request' to the members of the ruling party, Narek Zeynalanyan and Hovik Aghazaryan, asking them to relinquish their mandates. The former has already complied with the request, while Aghazaryan is still resisting.

‘What happened in parliament is unacceptable. In terms of preserving our institutions, it would not be right to leave all this unaddressed. The issue is not personal; it is systemic,’ Pashinyan noted, hoping that his 'request' would not go unanswered and that Aghazaryan would also resign from his mandate.

Today, National Assembly President Alen Simonyan also proposed to meet with Aghazaryan. Simonyan was not present in Armenia in recent days and also missed last week's session of the ruling party, during which it was decided that MP Hovik Aghazaryan should resign from his mandate.
