Boys, Decide, One Says It's Good, the Other Complains: Simonyan to the Opposition
It turns out that our opposition has found a target within its own faction, the member of parliament Gegham Nazaryan, and his "sin" is that he traveled to Vietnam with me and even took a photo with me. This was written today by Alen Simonyan on his Telegram channel.
"The situation is completely anecdotal, just two days ago a parliament member was upset that I didn't take him to Geneva, now they are all upset that I took Gegham Nazaryan with me. Now I am going to meet with the Speaker of the Polish Sejm, and we have tried to involve representatives from the opposition twice, but they refused, probably out of fear. Before that, they were also upset that I didn't take any opposition members with me during my official invitations. Guys, decide, one of you says it's good, while the other complains. Many opposition MPs have traveled with me to various countries and, without naming names, have even approached saying, 'But I'm a member of this or that friendly group, why didn't you take me, Mr. Simonyan?' Or what has Mr. Simonyan done to you that traveling with me or taking a photo is a big deal, really?
I am your uniquely legitimate elected Speaker of the National Assembly, and later I am also a reaffirmed official by the Constitutional Court. What issue do you have with me speaking, traveling, or taking photos? Until now, there hasn't been a problem. I can name names if necessary. And if the issue is the photo, the simple fact is our pictures have not yet been published; perhaps that has been the reason for the complaint. It's shameful, simply shameful, do you have nothing to do?" he wrote.
