New Details about the Sunken Cruise Ship off the Coast of Egypt
In Egypt, 28 people have been rescued from the Sea Story cruise ship, which sank off the coast of Marsa Alam in the Red Sea. Currently, 17 individuals are considered missing, and search efforts are ongoing, stated Governor Amr Hanafi.
"At this moment, 28 people have been successfully rescued from the incident involving the sinking of the Sea Story cruise ship located south of Marsa Alam, and searches are continuing for the 17 missing persons," the provincial government said in a statement.
There is a possibility that some of the rescued individuals were picked up by a rescue aircraft. For others, a frigate has been dispatched to aid in their rescue.
It is worth noting that the incident occurred early in the morning on November 25. There were 14 crew members and 31 tourists on board the ship. According to the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, there were no Armenians on the cruise ship.
