What is the Height of Snow Cover in Yerevan and the Regions
As forecasted, heavy precipitation has been observed throughout the republic starting from the evening of November 26 and continuing into the night of November 27, particularly in mountainous and pre-mountainous areas in the form of snow. This was reported by the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center.
In separate areas of Aragatsotn, Lori, and Ararat, the amount of snowfall has reached the monthly norm within one day. As of 07:00 on November 27, the height of the snow cover is as follows: in Lori, it is 10-28 cm; in Shirak, Kotayk, and the mountainous region of Aragatsotn, it is 15-30 cm; in Gegharkunik and the mountainous regions of Vayots Dzor, it is 10-20 cm; and in the elevated area of Yerevan, it is 5-10 cm.
During the day of November 27 and on the 28th, the cyclone will lose its strength, but snowfall will continue in certain regions of Armenia. Starting in the evening of November 28, dry weather will be established throughout the republic. The air temperature will gradually drop by an additional 5-8 degrees Celsius during the night hours from November 28 to 30.
