What Expectations Does Zelensky Have from Trump
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has requested proposals from Donald Trump to resolve the conflict with Russia, hoping to receive them in January 2025, according to local agency Ukrinform. In November, Zelensky expressed concern over the threat of Ukraine's defeat in the conflict if Trump does not provide assistance, noting the significant influence of the newly elected U.S. president.
At the same time, Zelensky has repeatedly criticized Trump, stating that it is the Republican who could reach an agreement with Russia, regardless of Kyiv's opinion.
“I also want to hear the proposals from the new President of the United States; I believe we will see them in January and have a plan for the end of this war,” Zelensky concluded.
