VIDEO: The 'Oreshnik' Complex Can Strike Targets Throughout Europe, Says Karakaev

The 'Oreshnik' missile complex can strike targets throughout Europe, stated Sergey Karakaev, the Commander of the Strategic Missile Forces of the Russian Federation.

“Based on the assigned tasks and the operational range of this weapon, it can hit targets across all of Europe, which distinctly differentiates it from other types of long-range precision weapons,” Karakaev said during a meeting held under the chairmanship of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, in turn, noted that the operational results of the 'Oreshnik' missile system, due to its striking power, are indeed comparable to strategic weapons; however, this system is not a weapon of mass destruction.
