Hovik Aghazaryan Puts Nikol Pashinyan in a Discomforting Position

The newspaper "Joxovurd" reports that Hovik Aghazaryan has put Nikol Pashinyan and the leadership of the Civil Contract party in an uncomfortable position, creating real chaos within the team.

Following the disgraceful incidents at the National Assembly hearings on October 15, Pashinyan made a decision to strip Narek Zeynalayan and Hovik Aghazaryan of their mandates. Zeynalayan "voluntarily" stepped down, but Aghazaryan is stubbornly fighting to keep his mandate and refuses to comply with Pashinyan's demands.

At the party's governing board meeting held on Tuesday, November 19, a unanimous decision to resign Aghazaryan's mandate was recorded, yet he is hesitating. Moreover, he is pressuring the board members, claiming that they cannot force him to resign, but can only urge him to consider it.

Furthermore, Aghazaryan is issuing an “ultimatum” to the party leadership, demanding the release of the decision so that he can “think” about resigning his mandate. The board members of the Civil Contract party seem, in turn, to be in an uncomfortable position; they maintain a stone silence and have yet to publish the leadership’s decision.

The newspaper "Joxovurd" spent all day yesterday trying to find out from the board members why they do not publish the political decision regarding Aghazaryan, but the members have not responded to the media's calls.
