Unagreed Points of the 'Peace Agreement': 'Hraparak'
The newspaper 'Hraparak' writes: 'Although the Foreign Minister and the Prime Minister stubbornly refuse to reveal the unagreed points of the ‘peace agreement’, our diplomatic sources report that it concerns two provisions: the exclusion of third-party forces along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and the abandonment of lawsuits against Azerbaijan in international forums.
The first demand was made when EU observers had not yet begun their mission along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, and the issue only concerned Russian border guards, to which the Armenian authorities did not object. However, Azerbaijan later rephrased this demand to include EU observers as well. Meanwhile, the West is exerting pressure for EU observers to remain and continue monitoring regional events, hence the need to extend the agreement, which expires next February.
As long as there is no agreement on this point, according to our source, Armenia has not accepted the demand to abandon lawsuits in international courts; however, they are not fundamentally opposed if, of course, it is synchronized with Azerbaijan abandoning lawsuits against us.
However, even if all points are agreed upon, our source insists that Aliyev will not sign the document. He keeps introducing new preconditions and is now insisting that he will not sign anything as long as the Constitution of Armenia has not been changed.'
