Did Not Comply with Police, Uttered Insults: Ministry of Internal Affairs

During a personal search of an intoxicated driver, knives were discovered. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

“On the night of November 20, at around 1:20 a.m., patrol officers in Shirak Province stopped a 'VAZ-2109' vehicle for inspection in the village of Gharibjan. The evidently intoxicated driver and two passengers did not comply with the legal demands of the police officers and uttered insults. The 43-year-old driver, a resident of Gyumri, along with the 36 and 32-year-old passengers from the village of Horom, were arrested and taken to the Akhuryan community police station along with the vehicle. During a personal search, three knives were found on the Gyumri resident. His sobriety was also tested and confirmed to be under the influence. The three men and relevant documents have been submitted to the Shirak regional investigative department,” the statement said.
