Will Azerbaijan Participate in the World Military Wrestling Championship in Armenia?

The 37th World Military Wrestling Championship, scheduled to take place from November 20-24 at the Karen Demirchyan Sports Complex in Yerevan, will not see the participation of Azerbaijan. This was stated by Colonel Arman Davtyan, head of the Physical Training and Sports Service of the Armenian Ministry of Defense, during a press conference.

“Invitations to the events of the International Military Sports Council are sent not by the host country but by the Council itself, and no country can fail to receive an invitation. The Azerbaijani team did not submit an application and did not arrive in Armenia,” he remarked.

Earlier, it was reported that Armenia will not be participating with its strongest team in the World Military Wrestling Championship, which will also take place at the Karen Demirchyan Sports Complex from November 20-22.
