Deputy Chairman of Russia's Security Council Dmitry Medvedev has stated that the use of NATO missiles gives Russia the right to classify it as an attack on Russia and to retaliate with weapons of mass destruction against Kyiv and key facilities of the alliance.

On November 17, it was revealed that US President Joe Biden had allowed the Ukrainian armed forces to strike deep into Russian territory with long-range weapons. Sources from Reuters reported that Ukraine plans to carry out its first long-range strikes in the coming days.

"What is important is what the head of the Russian state mentioned. As a result, today a new version of the foundations of state policy in the field of nuclear deterrence has been established. The use of the alliance's missiles can be classified as an attack by the countries of the alliance on Russia. Medvedev also noted that media reports have a propaganda purpose.
