Iran's Foreign Ministry Calls for Preparedness for War

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has called for readiness in the face of potential large-scale armed conflict during a meeting with the leadership of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), emphasizing the need to demonstrate strength to adversaries. This was reported by the TASS news agency.

"Preparing for war prevents it. If you want to prevent it from starting, you must show your strength and declare your readiness for war and defense. That will prevent war. If you show even the slightest weakness, demonstrating that you are not prepared to resist, war will be imposed on you," Araghchi's press service quoted him as saying.

"We have stated that the recent actions taken against the Islamic Republic of Iran by the Israeli regime are another act of aggression. Operations 'True Promise' and 'True Promise 2' were of a defensive nature. The new aggression by the Israeli regime deserves a response. We have not renounced our right to retaliate. We will choose the timing and respond as we deem necessary," the diplomat added.

On October 1, the missile strike against Israel was referred to in Iran as Operation 'True Promise 2'. In response, Israel carried out strikes against Iran on October 26. Araghchi emphasized that the decision to launch Operation 'True Promise 3' in response to the Israeli strikes on October 26 would not be "emotional."
