What Needs to Be Done to Stop Military Operations: Peskov
The plan to freeze the Ukrainian conflict, which Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is reportedly preparing to present, is not acceptable to Russia. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, during a briefing.
“We have taken note of Bloomberg's publication, but we do not have access to the details. The option for a 'freeze' along the lines of military confrontation is unacceptable for the Russian side. The conditions formulated by President Putin remain relevant. This is what needs to be done to stop military operations,” said the Kremlin spokesperson.
Earlier, Bloomberg, citing its sources, reported that Erdoğan intends to propose to Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky to postpone discussions on NATO membership for at least 10 years as a concession to Russia.
