Official Announcement: Six Senior Officials Resign
The President of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia, Rustam Badasyan, has announced his resignation. In his message, he stated, "Dear citizens, dear taxpayers, today I have submitted my resignation from the position of President of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia. I am confident that the work accomplished, in terms of providing more accessible services and strengthening tax discipline, has yielded and will yield results when every citizen of the Republic of Armenia recognizes the importance of paying taxes for our state's development.
I would like to thank the Prime Minister, members of the Government, all colleagues in the National Assembly, and taxpayers for our years of joint work. Special thanks to the employees of the State Revenue Committee; I am sure you will continue the work of institutional establishment of the SRC, strengthen international cooperation, counteract corruption phenomena through our undertaken steps, and introduce new tools for serving taxpayers. Thank you for the work done, and I wish you new achievements," he added in his message.
Earlier, it was reported that Minister of Internal Affairs Vahe Ghazaryan, Head of the Investigative Committee Arghishti Kyaramyan, Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Committee Sasun Khachatryan, and Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Gnel Sanosyan have also submitted their resignations. The Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council Karen Andreasyan has also announced his resignation. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has also addressed the topic.
