I Leave Calm and Peaceful: Sanosyan
The news about the resignation of Gnel Sanosyan, the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures, has also been confirmed.
"Dear colleagues, dear friends, I want to inform you that today I have submitted my application for resignation and I am leaving the position of Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures. My over three years of service have been filled with numerous challenges. Besides the core work, we faced unexpected, unplanned, and urgent issues almost on a daily basis.
New road constructions, the forced displacement from Artsakh, floods. And these are only the major challenges I can mention. There has not been a working week during which I have not been in any province. I have personally monitored programs aimed at improving community life and the processes of building and upgrading new infrastructures, whether it is a substation, water pipeline, road, kindergarten construction, etc. This list can be quite long.
Thanks to the government’s efforts and collaborative teamwork, we have proudly overcome and resolved the problems that arose. I am confident that many issues still require solutions, and there are many tasks to be done, even just regarding the challenges listed above.
I would like to thank Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan for his trust and opportunity, the Deputy Prime Ministers, my fellow Ministers, the Prime Minister’s Office, representatives of legislative and executive bodies, subordinate entities, governors, heads of local governments, international and local partners, and my large team at the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures, without whom it would have been impossible to turn this large-scale work into reality.
The system of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures is very complex, and the volume of work is enormous. During these three years, I have worked with great intensity for the benefit of our state and people. I am hopeful that the crucial sectors under the Ministry’s coordination will continue to be managed with the same dedication for the benefit of the Republic of Armenia.
I leave behind a vast amount of work completed, thus I depart calmly and peacefully," wrote Gnel Sanosyan.
It should be noted that earlier, Minister of Internal Affairs Vahe Ghazaryan, Chairman of the Investigative Committee Arghishti Kyaramyan, and Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Committee Sasun Khachatryan submitted their resignation applications as well. The Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council Karen Andreasyan has also announced his resignation. According to press reports, Nikol Pashinyan has made personnel changes, and has also dismissed the head of the State Revenue Committee Rustam Badasyan. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has also addressed the topic.
