Turkey Responds to News Regarding Erdogan

Information from Western media regarding Ankara's initiatives to freeze the conflict in Ukraine does not reflect reality, a diplomatic source in the Turkish capital told RIA Novosti.

“We support diplomatic initiatives to end the war between Ukraine and Russia. On the other hand, the portions related to Turkey in the article titled 'Ukraine's Allies Rely on Zelensky to Find Ways to End the War', published today by Bloomberg, do not reflect reality,” the source remarked.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is set to present a proposal for freezing the Ukrainian conflict at the G20 summit in Brazil, as reported by Bloomberg citing its sources. According to the agency's anonymous sources, the Turkish president will offer Kyiv to postpone negotiations on NATO membership for at least 10 years as a 'concession' to Russia.

Russian President Vladimir Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov has also commented on the matter.
