Georgian President Calls for New Parliamentary Elections

Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili has appealed to the Constitutional Court regarding widespread violations of voting secrecy during the parliamentary elections held on October 26. This was reported by ТАСС.

She also called for new parliamentary elections in the country, believing that the voting that took place on October 26 cannot be considered valid.

"When elections have not taken place in the country, it is imperative that they be held again as soon as possible," Zurabishvili said during a briefing, adding that as a result of the elections, the country is on a path of 'destabilization and dual governance.'
