Erdogan to Present His Proposal: 'More Territorial Losses' - Media

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan plans to present his proposal for freezing the conflict in Ukraine during the G20 leaders' summit in Rio de Janeiro. This was reported by Bloomberg, citing its sources.

"He is set to present his proposal for freezing the conflict under the current circumstances when the leaders of the Group of 20 meet in Rio de Janeiro on Monday," the publication stated.

According to Bloomberg, Erdogan intends to suggest delaying the discussion on Ukraine's NATO membership for at least 10 years as a concession to Russia. Additionally, the Turkish proposal includes the creation of a demilitarized zone in Donbass.

Erdogan is expected to propose the deployment of international troops in the region as an additional guarantee and to provide Ukraine with Western military supplies as compensation for the agreement of staying out of NATO.

Turkish officials acknowledge that it will be difficult for Ukraine to accept such a proposal but believe it to be the most realistic approach.

Bloomberg also reports that Ukraine may lose more territories in the coming months, mentioning that Turkish President Erdogan has received relevant intelligence data.

"Ukraine may lose more territory in the coming months," the report stated. It noted that this is precisely why Erdogan hopes that Ukraine's leader, Vladimir Zelensky, will be convinced to engage in peace negotiations.

Bloomberg writes that Erdogan has seen intelligence data indicating that Ukraine faces territorial losses in the upcoming months.
