Another Resignation Officially Confirmed

The news of the resignation of Arghishti Kyaramyan, the head of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, has been officially confirmed. In his message, he stated:

“Dear compatriots, dear employees of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, colleagues,

The time has come to announce my decision to resign from the position of the head of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia. This decision stems from internal reassessments arising from the recent situation regarding the overall operation of the law enforcement system.

I would like to thank first of all the entire staff of the Investigative Committee, my dear colleagues, for sharing both the challenges and tangible results of the journey we have taken together, for their cooperation and dedication to the realization of our common vision for the establishment of the system. It has been an honor and pride to serve in the Investigative Committee of Armenia, to become a part of it, and to try to make a modest contribution to the ongoing process of systematization of this cohesive and unified structure.

I am leaving the position of the head of the Investigative Committee with the same internal pride and harmony with which I assumed it and worked. I would also like to thank the Prime Minister of Armenia and the Government for trusting me with this responsible position in a difficult and crucial historical phase for Armenia, believing in my abilities. As an official, I have done everything possible to ensure the internal sustainability and legality of our state, as well as legal security, considering it a moral duty and mission as an Armenian and a citizen of the Republic of Armenia.

I am confident that this process will be unstoppable, and the ongoing judicial and law enforcement reforms in Armenia will be the guiding principle for the further development of the Investigative Committee, and we will achieve the preliminary investigative body we envision, as well as a stable, secure, and prosperous homeland of our dreams.

Long live the Republic of Armenia... And may God protect us all,” the message says.

It is worth noting that earlier it was reported that Minister of Internal Affairs Vahe Ghazaryan submitted his resignation. We also reported that the head of the Anti-Corruption Committee, Sasun Khachatryan, has submitted a letter of resignation. The Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, Karen Andreasyan, has also announced his resignation.

According to media reports, Nikol Pashinyan has made staff changes, dismissing the Minister of Urban Development, Gnel Sanosyan, Chairman of the State Revenue Committee, Rustam Badasyan, and others. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has also addressed the topic.
