Aghazaryan on Resigning His Mandate and the Series of Resignations

The spokesperson for the National Assembly has issued a statement that these rumors do not correspond to reality. Personally, I do not know anything; I have not received any such signal. This was stated by MP Hovik Aghazaryan from the Civil Contract party in an interview with NEWS.am, commenting on the rumors of resigning his mandate.

“I would just like to remind you that there is a criminal proceeding in the law enforcement sphere related to the well-known hearings, and there is also an intra-party process that is underway; that’s about it. The spokesperson for the National Assembly is an official institution, and he has announced this. I ask you to take that into account,” Aghazaryan said.

When asked how he assesses the fact that such a large number of officials resigned overnight, Aghazaryan responded, “I will not speak about it because I do not know whether all this corresponds to reality or not. I have only learned about it from the media; they say, they write. If something is clarified, if I find out something, I will gladly share it with you.”

It should be noted that earlier it was reported that the head of the Anti-Corruption Committee, Sasun Khachatryan, has submitted his resignation. The head of the Administrative Court, Karen Andreasian, has also announced his resignation.

According to media reports, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has made personnel changes, dismissing Minister of Internal Affairs Vahe Ghazaryan, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Gnel Sanosyan, head of the Investigative Committee Artur Karamyan, and head of the State Revenue Committee Rustam Badalyan.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has also addressed the issue.
