Wherever I Am, Bananas Should Not Be Present: Swedish Minister

The Swedish Minister for Gender Equality, Paulina Brandberg, has banned bananas from events she attends due to her so-called "bananaphobia," according to RIA Novosti.

“Minister for Gender Equality Paulina Brandberg suffers from one of the strangest phobias in the world because of bananas... ‘Bananaphobia’ forces Brandberg's colleagues to take action... Staff make sure that there are no bananas present at the locations of the minister's visits. They insist this is a severe form of allergy,” the article states.

According to media reports, the minister had previously disclosed her phobia on social media. For instance, before a meeting with the President of Parliament, the minister's assistants requested the removal of the fruit from the area. “There should be no bananas where the minister is present,” they said.
