Musk Holds Secret Meeting with Iranian Ambassador at the UN

The New York Times reports that Elon Musk, a close advisor to Donald Trump, met with the Iranian ambassador to the United Nations on Monday in New York City. According to Iranian sources cited by the publication, the discussion focused on ways to alleviate tensions between Iran and the United States.

Iranian sources stated that the meeting between Musk and Ambassador Amir Saeed Iravani lasted more than an hour and was kept confidential. They characterized the meeting as "positive" and a "good development." In response to inquiries about the occurrence of such a meeting, Donald Trump's communications director, Stephen Chung, said, "We do not comment on reports of private meetings that may or may not have taken place."
