VIDEO: Various Officials Received Envelopes of Money, Manukyan
“Mr. Manukyan, since when is it insulting to offer someone something to eat? That is not insulting. You should respond to this; in the past, members of parliament, government officials, and various types of officials received envelopes of money. You come here claiming you are offended because someone said they are sending you food. What is insulting about that? What is insulting is the fact that they say money was put in the pocket of a parliament member, and you do not respond to that,” said Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Hakob Arshakyan to opposition MP Gegham Manukyan.
Arshakyan urged Manukyan to have a culture of listening: “When I speak, have the culture to listen; what you say is not pleasant to me either, but I do not interrupt you. Have a culture of questioning: what question are you asking the servant? When you take pizza to the protesters, do we take offense at you? You take food to them. You should better respond to where those envelopes full of money you used to take came from, why you took them, or who was paying for those trips. Respond to that.”
